Long before I ever would have dreamed of calling myself a photographer, you could find me behind my $30 camera from Shopko, composing shots, pausing moments, reflecting on the "ordinary" (if there is such a thing). Although I have long since moved on from my Shopko camera, I still make it my mission to create beautiful images, develop quality relationships, and for everyone I interact with to feel valuable just as they are. From love stories, to growing families, to graduating seniors, I am dedicated to providing beautiful, true-to-you images for whatever your current life journey.

When I'm not behind the camera capturing those special moments, you will probably find me cozying up at home with a good book, going for a walk in the sunshine, tending the plants that fill every corner of my room, or brushing up on whatever foreign language I'm currently learning (with a large cup of tea in hand, of course). I love learning about other cultures & travelling, but I'm also a homebody who loves time with family and close friends.

Some of my favorites...

There's nothing quite like snuggling down with a good book and hot cup of tea (although my summertime favorite is an iced matcha). After spending a summer in Germany a few years back, having a cup (or three) of tea a day has become a staple and I haven't looked back since! In the words of one of my favorite authors, "You can never get a cup of tea big enough or a book long enough to suit me." (C.S. Lewis)

Shooting film has forever changed the way I photograph. There's nothing quite like the wonderful limits of 35mm film, and through this means of photography I have found myself learning how to find the best light, choosing the most meaningful moments, and slowing down to enjoy them.

I would say I love to travel, but it's more of the new friends, languages, and experiences that come with traveling that make my heart sing. Let's hit up some of the tourist spots for a day, but the rest of the time is for the farmer's markets, the family-owned shops, the freshly baked bread or in-season fruit, the neighbor woman and her ducks, or biking through the city streets.

Some of my favorites...

Growing up as the oldest of 10 kids, there is was never a dull day around the house (plus lots of cake for lots of birthdays)! And I can say with confidence that my big family is one of the sweetest blessings in my life. It has also given me some great experience in getting the attention of little people! ;)
